I came to see Kim not really knowing what to expect from acupuncture. I had severely pulled a muscle in my back and was in serious pain. About Kim
Kim Brooker

Kim has always been interested in healthcare ~ specifically natural, alternative, and complementary healthcare.
Kim spent over twenty years working in healthcare in Ontario, Canada where she enjoyed being a caregiver and educator. She eventually realized that she wanted to pursue an even more fulfilling healthcare career. In 2001after moving to Florida with her family, she became interested in acupuncture and Oriental Medicine when her then fifteen year-old son was relieved of life-long food and environmental allergies with a series of acupuncture treatments and Chinese herbs.
Kim completed the Oriental Medicine program at East West College of Natural Medicine, in Sarasota, Florida where she earned a Master of Science degree in Oriental Medicine. She is licensed by the state of Florida and Board Certified by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) in acupuncture.
Women's healthcare, breast healthcare in particular is another interest of Kim's. Aromatherapy is a passion of Kim's and for her it is often another natural alternative to conventional medicine. Kim regularly combines at-home use of aromatherapy with her acupuncture treatments for her patients. She also instructs others on the therapeutic uses of essential oils and how to make and use aromatherapy products at home.

After graduation from East West College of Natural Medicine, Kim built a practice making affordable housecalls around Bradenton, Ellenton, and Sarasota, Florida.
More recently she is happy to have opened Bradenton Community Acupuncture which has increased her ability to reach even more people.
Kim believes that everyone deserves to have the opportunity to use affordable acupuncture as a way to help manage their health.
